JIMI

Jimi is 3 years, male, neutered, has all of his shots, and loves to play around with people and other cats Jimi loves and prefers to be outside. Unfortunately, I’ve been told to keep Jimi in the house which is something he did not like. While he’s been contained in the house, he became very anxious because he’d prefer to be playing outside.

MISCHKA AND MONA

These two beauties are 6 month old sisters, not spayed, who are possibly Great Pyrenees mixes. They have great temperaments and are good with people and other dogs.

If interested in meeting these beautiful girls, please call PAWS and they will get you in contact with the people who are fostering them.

JOHNNY

Johnny is 1 year old. He has all of his shots and he is fixed. Johnny is leash trained. Johnny is crate trained (But needs a little bit of work on it) Johnny is great with kids. Amazing with other dogs. Curious with cats but pretty scared of them.

I am looking for a new home for Johnny because with my work schedule and other obligations I do not have the time to give Johnny the proper care and attention that he deserves at his age. He is a wonderful, smart and loving dog that has so much potential. He picks up on training quickly and has made quick improvement with off leash recall, and other basic commands over the months that I have had him. Anyone with that has the desire and time to take care of a young dog such as Johnny would be lucky to have him!

LUNA

Here are all the details on our foster, Luna - We are happy to transport Luna to the right home and hopeful she can live a life with snow, hikes and play!
Contact: Becca Pariser 214-494-0539
 Name of Dog: Luna
Age: 02/21/2023
Weight: 54
Breed: Korean Jindo / Husky / White Swiss Shepherd
Color: White with light brown ears
Female/Male: Female
Spayed/Neuter: Yes
Microchip Number: 982126060068704
Fostering Began: 08/16/2023
Friendly:
- Dog friendly (loves other dogs, very submissive but playful)
- Older teens
Not friendly:
- Cats
- Young children
House Trained: Yes, not crate trained
Behavioural Issues:
- Some separation anxiety. As long as she’s with another dog or human, she’s totally fine. It’s when she’s left on her own that she experiences issues. Currently on Reconcile and Gabapentin to support
- Protective of owners / foster parents only in their home. She is totally fine at daycare, at the vet, on walks, at the dog park. Daycare / boarding has reported her as “the sweetest dog who gets how to act in a group setting.”
Reason for surrender:
Luna has become protective of her owners and home environment with guests she is not familiar with. The owners have tried various training (including positive reinforcement and relaxation protocol) but there has not been significant enough improvement, and they can no longer dedicate time or finances to continued training due to a lifestyle change with becoming human parents to twins.
Luna is a sweet, curious, playful, communicative pup. Seems like she may have some husky in her! She loves to play with other dogs and toys, and explore outside. She also loves to relax and have some downtime. She takes some daily medications to ease anxieties. Thank you.

MOON DOG

Courtesy Post:  Moon Dog - a one-ish year old female shepherd mix saved from the euthanasia room at an over crowded California shelter after a good Samaritan saved her from the Los Angelos Boulevard traffic.  She has had all vaccines, microchip, will be spayed within the week, and needs a patient, present, loving family or person to call her own.  Good with dogs, cats, people.  Has had no training, and needs someone to teach her the ropes.  Sensitive and eager to please, fun, looking for kindness and a person who she can be with most of the time.  Not a backyard/outside dog, but an inside companion.  Contact Mimi at chatwoodmimi@gmail.com

ELINOR

Sweet Elinor is seeking her one and only person that will hike with her, help her put on some weight, and love her to the ends of the earth.
At an estimated 8-ish years young, she is playful, happy, loves dogs, people, and is obsessed with cats.
She is afraid of thunder.  She will avoid being leashed, but once on leash, is easy to walk.
Elinor was saved from euthanasia in July from an overcrowded shelter in California where she was placed after having been dumped, no longer able to produce litter after litter for her backyard breeder.  She had not been in a house, had shelter, or kindness.
Elinor is named after the queen that turns to a bear and back in the movie Brave.  She is playful, funny, gentle, and needs someone that will make up to her lost years.  Her person must be very special, because she is very special.         Call Mimi 970-349-1414
